About
the KCA
Our
website is for members only.
We are not actively recruiting new members.
We
are experts
in Russian
and other Soviet firearms
and ammunition (AK47). Our association has members
all over the world, of all ages and from all walks
of life. We all share a serious interest in the
history, development, and design of the famed Kalashnikov
assault rifle, the AK-47 and it's variants.
Members
of the KCA have toured the Russian weapons factories
on private tours and have met with Mikhail Timofeevich
Kalashnikov a number of times. The KCA has been featured
in many publications published in the United States,
Russia and other countries. Members of the KCA have
appeared as experts in the field on cable television
productions and members regularly sponsor military
training and weapon familiarity courses for our
armed forces. The
KCA has met with and worked with US AK47 rifle and
parts manufacturers to produce more true to spec
versions of their US made parts.
We
can provide consultation and expert testimony for
issues including Russian and Soviet weapon
design, history, toolmarks, ballistics and
forensic testing, serial number tampering and
restoration, and performance.
